Guide is officially supported in the United States and is English-only for now. People using it internationally may experience slower performance. Still, many have tried it, and some found it worked for their needs.

An assist is what we call Guide performing a command or answering a question for you. For example, if you ask Guide to "Open Chrome and go to cnn.com," that counts as one assist. If you then say, "Read the headlines," that’s another assist. Each time Guide helps you with a task or provides information, it uses an assist from your monthly allowance.

Guide is free to try for 7 days, with up to 30 assists in that timeframe. After your trial, everyone moves onto Guide Standard at $15/month for 30 assists. If you reach this limit, we’ll offer an upgrade to Guide Plus for $25/month and 100 assist. Existing subscribers who signed up before October 19, 2025 stay on the $8/month Legacy plan with a 100 assist monthly limit.

Yes — you’ll be asked to enter your credit card when starting the free trial. But you won’t be charged until the 7-day trial ends. You can cancel anytime before then and won’t be billed.

You can cancel your subscription at any time through the Guide app. Navigate to the Account tab in the tab control, and from there click Manage Subscription. This will open a secure Stripe web page where you can then click Cancel Subscription. Your access will continue until the end of the current billing or free trial cycle. If you hit the assist limit in the free trial, your plan has been canceled and you will not be charged. If all else fails, email support@guideinteraction.com from the email address you used to sign up, and we’ll help you out.

Guide runs on Windows 10 or later. You do not need any special hardware beyond a standard computer.

Absolutely. Guide is designed to complement, not replace, existing assistive tools. You can use it alongside JAWS, NVDA, or other screen readers.

Yes, security and transparency are top priorities for Guide. Because Guide helps navigate inaccessible content, it uses AI and automation to take screenshots and simulate mouse and keyboard actions on your Windows computer.
Screenshots are securely sent to Anthropic’s Claude, an advanced AI model, to interpret what’s on your screen and suggest or perform actions. These screenshots are not stored or used for training, and Guide does not access your files, record audio, or monitor activity outside of what’s visually on screen.
